Through this collaboration, the artist duo wanted to create a feeling of connection with the women in the photographs. Devialet engineer took up the challenge of overcoming Saint-Blaise church’s echoing sound to stay true to the artists’ visions. After analyzing the venue, our engineer designed a custom stereo system made up of 8 Devialet Phantom I speakers and 8 Devialet Phantom II speakers. Once synchronized, it crisply reproduced every layer of sound from the spoken word to background music to electroacoustic sounds, and perfectly render all the nuances of the pair’s artistry.
