The side panels of this Limited Edition are a testament to exceptional craftsmanship. Produced by Ateliers Gohard, renowned for their long-standing gold leaf expertise, each panel undergoes a meticulous application process—from raw flange formation and polishing by Guy Degrenne, through to hand-adorment with 22.5-carat gold leaf, red varnish, and a matte finish.
Remarkably, this process requires a full day of meticulous work by an artisan for each, reflecting the dedication and precision invested in every detail. The result is a stunning nod to dragon scales, fusing traditional artistry with modern design.

Yang Bao & Liu Wa transform Devialet Phantom I into "ANIMAL", an artistic expression of infinite music and metamorphosis.

Yang Bao

Installation artist, pianist and composer Bao works in sound sculpture, performance and video. Driven by his concept of "Infinity Music,” he fuses his music with his large stainless-steel sculptures where sound constantly evolves based on chance. He received Maria Manetti Shrem Composer Prize and Most Influential Young Artists by Forbes China.

Wa Liu

Multimedia artist, Wa Liu explores the porous boundaries and power dynamics between humans and nature, weaving together anthropology, global history and geopolitics into multisensory experiences. She received International Emmy Awards Young Creatives Award, Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia List.

Where is this Devialet Phantom limited edition made ?

Devialet Phantom I 108dB by Yang Bao & Wa Liu is made in France. The side panels are crafted and hand applied by Ateliers Gohard, making each product unique. Slight differences can be found between each side panels, due to the meticulous nature of the artisanal craftsmanship involved in the process.

Is this limited edition under warranty ?

Phantom is covered by a two-year international warranty effective from date of purchase or delivery. For total peace of mind, our Devialet Care package provides an additional three-year warranty (making it five in total).

Does this limited edition sound different from a Phantom I 108dB ?

No, this Phantom edition has the exact same audio performance as a Phantom I 108dB.

What is the perfect set-up for my Phantom ?

The optimal Phantom set-up is:
- Between 45 and 90 cm high so it hits you head on
- 30 cm from a wall, so low frequencies bounce back and reinforce immersiveness within the room
- Unencumbered; do not place objects in front of Phantom to avoid obstructing the sound propagation
If in a stereo set-up, place the speakers between 1.5 and 2.5 m apart and angle the speakers inward 35°.

Can I create a stereo pair with two different Phantom I's or between a Phantom I and a Phantom Premier ?

Yes, I can create a stereo pair with two models having the same power (108dB with 108dB, 103dB with 103dB etc). However, I will be able to play in multiroom with all the Phantoms (I and II), whatever the model or power.
