Unreleased recordings exhumed

Our epic journey started with Fondamenta, a label who helped us build a team of highly skilled sound archeologists. Over more than a year, they travelled the globe, searching for those missing recordings, lost in the vast array of archive centers.

The restoration and remastering work of the analog tapes could not have been performed as perfectly without the help of Fondamenta. With Expert, they managed to develop a unique process called Phoenix Mastering® allowed us together to recover an incredible sound quality.

This is only after digging into hundreds of recordings that we managed to find three unique masterpieces of world famous jazz icons.

Vinyl

Vector of absolute emotions, the vinyl is a great analog medium capable of transmitting all the heat and character of an old recording with subtlety. That is why this medium, pressed in 180gm to guarantee an audiophile quality, was a natural choice for such a unique collection.

Produced in one of the world’s best vinyl pressing factories and featuring an exclusive design, the vinyl’s collection reaches perfection.

Each album is limited to 900 copies

The Lacquer

Crafted out of aluminium and coated with nitrocellulose lacquer, this truly fascinating object is the ultimate analog medium. Thanks to its physical properties it is possible to cut all the finest textures and details of the original recording.

Yet, the lacquers are never listened to since they are only used in the vinyl manufacturing process to create the pressing die.

Few people in the world had the chance to listen to this unique medium. With The Lost Recordings collection, we offer you the opportunity to live and share this intense emotional experience.

The ultimate analog medium

The ultimate analog medium can only be listened to once

Because of its softness, the lacquer wears off as it is listened to. Just like a concert, those pure emotions can only be lived once.

Each lacquer has been cut in one of the last engraving studios by a craftsman who perfectly masters this rare and sophisticated technique.

The sublime and ephemeral alliance of music and craftsmanship.
